A couple pictures from some projects that we’ve been working on: Cleaning the deck (we’re going to be painting it later), painting the trailer, organizing the garage, and caulking in the bathroom.
Matthew continues to have birthdays, so we continue to celebrate them… 🙂 We played about 4 games of dutch blitz, before we all decided it was time for bed. I’m so thankful for Matthew’s Godly influence in my life – not everyone has a brother they can look to for an example.
We spent some time with my grandparents this weekend in Indiana. Here are some pictures!

On July 3rd, we celebrated my grandmother’s 80th birthday at their house. It was great to catch-up with some of their friends as well as meet some new ones.
Libby dropped by from Indianapolis for a surprise visit. Since we’ve been fairly busy working on our new house, Libby readily joined in and did a lot of painting. Of course, we had to fit in some Dutch blitz, as well as bannagrams.
One of the things that first encouraged my parents to start home-schooling was seeing some of the excellent curriculum available, much of it through ATI. Each year, we go to a regional conference that ATI hosts. It is a great time for encouragement in the Lord with great teaching and fellowship. Matthew, Andrew, Christi, and I taught in the children’s institute again, while Mom and Dad went to the general sessions.
We celebrated an early Mother’s Day with my grandparents on Thursday night. It was a gorgeous evening for a picnic, as the mosquitos aren’t out yet, but it was a perfect temperature.
We visited my Grandparent’s farm last weekend. 150 potatoes were planted and then covered with straw; Dad fixed a weed-wacker; we cleaned up some rubish from a colasped building, and we ate taco salad for lunch (the best part!).
